My Approach to Therapy

My style of therapy creates a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where individuals can enhance self-understanding, maximize strengths, and learn to achieve greater satisfaction in their personal and professional lives.

My approach resembles life coaching. I will work with you to improve self-esteem and coping skills. My special interest areas include managing life transitions, balancing multiple roles, reducing stress and anxiety, coping with depression, strengthening relationships, counseling for college concerns, and living with loss.

When behavior change is the goal, we will develop ways to reframe your concerns and to implement more effective responses. For life-altering events, such as illness and loss, the emphasis will be on understanding your reactions, adjusting over time, and moving forward with your life.
